How to Make Air Fryer Cauliflower “Chicken” Wings

A super easy plant-based and gluten free recipe.

Ingredients for Cauliflower Chicken Wings

Head Fresh Cauliflower

Oat Flour (or all-purpose flour)

Paprika

Eggs (or melted plant-based butter for vegan version)

Hot Sauce I like Frank’s brand.

Salt

(Optional: ranch dressing or vegan dip for serving)

Instructions

Cut fresh cauliflower head into small/medium bite size florets.
(Leave a little extra stem for easy dipping into sauces!)

Air Fryer Cauliflower

Mix oat flour and paprika in medium dry bowl. (add a little salt if preferred)

Also, you can use regular all purpose flour if you chose! Whatever gets the job done. πŸ˜‰ Well-coated flour on the cauliflower makes the Air Fryer Cauliflower Wings extra crispy.

Breading for cauliflower

Whisk together egg and hot sauce in dry bowl. (to make vegan, try plant-based melted butter in place of egg)

Egg Wash for Cauliflower

Dip each cauliflower floret in wash and then coat with dry mix.
Then dip again back in wash and place back in air fryer at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

I found turning them midway through helped cook them evenly for perfect Air Fryer Cauliflower “Chicken” Wings.

I added hot sauce for the extra “hot” kick by tossing in mixing bowl before serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head fresh cauliflower broken into small/medium florets
  • 1 cup oat flour or all-purpose flour if preferred
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 eggs or melted plant-based butter for vegan version
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce for coating
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut head of cauliflower into small/medium size florets.
  • Mix oat flour and paprika in dry bowl.
  • Whip egg and hot sauce in bowl.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret in egg mix and then coat with dry mix. Dip again back in egg mix and place in air fryer. Air Fryer temp at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
  • I added extra hot sauce after cook time by mixing in a bowl.
